SGF Add New Colleagues to Public Affairs Team

The Scottish Grocers’ Federation has added to their Public Affairs team with the appointment of Aidan Smith who this week has taken up the new post of Public Affairs Assistant. This completes the successful refresh of the team.

Aidan joins the Public Affairs Team at a very busy time for the Federation and will play a key support role to the Head of Policy & Public Affairs, and the Policy & Public Affairs Officer.

In addition, Isabel Finnie has also recently joined the team as Receptionist and Admin Support and will support the work of the entire SGF team.

Chief Executive Dr Pete Cheema OBE said: “The convenience sector continues to operate in a challenging and fast-moving trading environment where it is essential that their voice is heard, and their key concerns put before our decision makers.

“The two appointments which have recently been made will help Scottish Grocers’ Federation in this important work.

I can say wholeheartedly that Aidan and Isabel are very welcome additions to our team, and I am very much looking forward to working with them over the coming months and years.

“As I have said before, no organisation is worth anything without its key people and we will continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the viability and success of the Scottish convenience trade continues.”
