Ministers urged to extend post office compensation to Scotland

The Scottish government has urged UK ministers to extend plans to Scotland to overturn postmasters convicted as part of the Horizon IT scandal.

However, the UK government said it would not accept the Scottish proposals - which would include amendments to the legislation. They argued Scotland should have its own legislation and it was working with the Scottish government to ensure equitable outcomes for victims.
