Chancellor Confirms NLW Rise from April 2024

While the Government is awaiting to hear recommendations from the Low Pay Commission, The National Living Wage will rise to over £11 an hour from April. This means it will reach its target of two-thirds of average earnings.

The Chancellor used his speech at the Conservative party conference to highlight that this increase is a pay raise for 2 million workers and the wages of the lowest paid are now £9000 higher per year than they were in 2010. The new National Living Wage will be confirmed by the Low Pay Commission in November.
