Loomis and Scottish Grocers Federation in Partnership

Scottish Grocers Federation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Loomis, the UK’s leading cash management specialist.

Loomis has become one of SGF’s key member companies in a move which will be of real benefit to SGF retail members.

Loomis supports businesses with crucial cash collection and delivery services, intelligent smart safes, foreign currency, cash in transit and cash processing solutions.

There are almost 5,000 convenience stores in Scotland, with the value of sales in the sector reaching some £4 billion – a significant amount of that in cash.

SGF chief executive Pete Cheema OBE said, “We are delighted to welcome Loomis into the Federation. Effective and secure cash management is vital to our members.”

“Despite the reported dominance of card payments, 76% of transactions in convenience stores is still in cash. The SGF and Loomis will work together to develop tailored solutions to support Convenience in Scotland.”

Patrik Högberg, Loomis Managing Director added, “Loomis has long supported businesses throughout Scotland with essential cash management solutions. We see this partnership with SGF as a doubling-down on our long-term commitment to support Scottish Convenience retailers."

“We firmly believe that it is the members of the SGF who will benefit most from this alliance and at Loomis, we are absolutely convinced that not only will our solutions drive the future of money in Scotland – they will safeguard it too!”
