Superintendent Gordon Fotheringham

Superintendent Gordon Fotheringham is responsible for Digital Evidence Sharing Capability (DESC) within Corporate Services Division.  DESC allows evidence to be shared digitally from Crime Scene to the Court Room and brings a significant advancement in policing processes which benefits the Public, Police, COPFS and Courts Service by improving the overall Criminal Justice experience with a key aim to deal with crime effectively at the earliest possible opportunity.

Superintendent Fotheringham began his career in policing in 1997 and has spent most of his service in operational policing, most recently in Operational Support Division as North Commander for Specialist Operations with responsibility for Public Order, Search, Dogs, Dive & Marine and Mountain Rescue.  He has also led in other areas such as Service Delivery, Events and Football Policing, Licensing, Partnerships, Prevention and Crime Management.

Superintendent Fotheringham is an experienced Event Policing Lead and Public Order Commander.
