Engage with MSPs and leading experts on the state of the small business economy – SGF Cross Party Group (20th Feb).

Date and Location

We are excited to let you know that the next meeting of our Cross-Party Group for Independent Convenience Stores is due to be held in the Scottish Parliament at 6pm on Tues 20th February 2024.

Topic

The topic will be The Scottish Economy, Retail and Small Business Conditions’, and will provide an overview of the health of the economy in relation to the retail and convenience sector, including a forecast/outlook for the short to mid-term.

This will be an important opportunity to speak directly to MSPs about the issues, influence policy and highlight further issues affecting the sector.

Speakers

We are delighted to have an exceptional panel of speakers. They are:

  • Kimberly Guthrie, Chief Officer, Scotland’s Towns Partnership

  • Dr Maria Rybaczewska, Research fellow, Stirling Management School, University of Stirling

  • Anne-Laure Farrar, UK Market Insight Manager, The Knowledge Bank

  • Dan Brown, Managing Director, Lothian Stores Ltd

We really hope you can make it to what will be an informative and insightful discussion.

Please email aidans@sgfscot.co.uk to confirm attendance if you have not done so already.
