SGF encourages convenience retailers to double check price labelling and weights & measures following Trading Standards report

SGF believes in responsible community retailing and encourages members to double check that all products on sale fully comply to regulations on price labelling and weights & measures. To ensure that customers understand the price per item/volume/mass of the product they are purchasing.

Recent findings by the Scottish Trading Standards highlighted that in a small number of cases, prices had not been made available to customers or customers had received short-weight goods. Resulting in warnings and potential sanctions for non-compliant retailers.
