Scottish Government update to the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, Section 142 Guidance for Licensing Boards

The Scottish Government has published updated ‘Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 Section 142 Guidance for Licensing Boards.

The purpose of the statutory guidance is to assist Licensing Boards in carrying out their functions under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and may be useful information for those involved in the alcohol licensing regime, such as licence holders. This statutory guidance replaces the original version of the statutory guidance.

The Scottish Government has informed SGF that it has made plans to engage with a small number of licensing stakeholders to keep the guidance under review, initially meeting twice a year. If you would like to join these conversations, please contact the Justice Directorate at ceu@gov.scot
