Prime Minister appoints new UK Government Cabinet (Mon 13th Nov)

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, has announced several new ministerial appointments, following a reshuffle of Government Cabinet Members this afternoon.

Some of the key changes which could impact the Scottish Convenience Sector include:

  • James Cleverly has replaced Suella Braverman as Secretary of State for the Home Department.

  • Ex-PM David Cameron has been made Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.

  • Laura Trott MBE MP has been appointed to the role of Chief Secretary to the Treasury.

  • Steve Barclay MP has been appointed to the role of Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

  • Greg Hands MP has been made a Minister of State in the Department for Business and Trade.
