MHRA to remove ability to submit notifications for disposable vapes from March 19

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) will discontinue the option to submit notifications for disposable vapes via its portal from 19 March 2025.

This measure precedes the ban on the sale and supply of single-use vapes, which comes into effect on 1 June 2025. The regulator has also confirmed that all disposable vape notifications will be removed from MHRA publications for supply in Great Britain and Ireland from this date.

MHRA have advised to stop submitting notifications for disposable vapes, as they are unlikely to be published and won’t be refunded.
