Invitation to participate in litter prevention workshops

As part of the implementation of the Year 1 Action plan of Scotland’s Litter and Flytipping Strategy, Zero Waste Scotland is running a series of workshops to help develop a new delivery model to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and consistency of litter and fly tipping prevention activities. Zero Waste Scotland is looking for SGF members to attend.

Three workshops are being hosted with retailers (with a focus on littering, rather than flytipping), starting from early 2024 to support the development of this new delivery model. The first of these workshops is taking place on 30 January, 9.00am-12.30pm, at the Glasgow Mariott, 500 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G3 8RR. Lunch will be provided afterwards.

This first workshop will primarily explore participants’ organisation’s roles and the range of activities they’re currently engaged in, which can impact (positively or negatively) on littering in Scotland.

It would be best if representatives were able to attend all three workshops for continuity. The second and third session dates will follow.

Attendees must confirm their attendance by 12 January 2024, by completing this form.
