Free independent legal advice for independent retailers
GroceryAid partners with Law Express, one of the UK’s leading providers of independent legal telephone advice, guidance and information to provide free and confidential legal support for colleagues working in the grocery and independent retailer industry.
To access legal advice, you can call GroceryAid’s free and confidential, 24/7 Helpline on 08088 021 122 and choose option 1 to speak to our team of Telephone Information Specialists who are Citizen Advice trained. They will provide you with information on a huge range of topics. If you request legal advice, or if after they have diagnosed the issues and they think you need more specialist legal advice, they will provide you with a funding code and provide you with contact details for Law Express. You can then arrange to speak to an advisor at a time that is convenient for you. Law Express is available Monday – Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm and weekends between 9:00am and 12:00pm.
What happens when you call Law Express?
All Law Express advisers and call handlers are based in the UK. When you call, they will ask you some questions about the nature of your enquiry so that they can match you to the best adviser. You will also be asked for your funding code that was provided by the GroceryAid Helpline.
An experienced legal adviser who specialises in the support you need will call you back, usually within two hours. If you wish to speak to an adviser straight away, the call handler will do their best to help you.

What other GroceryAid services are available for independent retailers?
If you work in the grocery industry, you can call our free, confidential Helpline on 08088 021 122 anytime of the day or night and speak to a BACP accredited counsellor who will provide you with in the moment emotional support. Plus, you may be referred to Citizen Advice Bureau trained information specialists who are available 8am – 8pm Monday-Friday to provide advice on any practical issues that may be causing you stress or worry.
